Born in Zhangzhou, Fujian in 1969, he is currently the Vice Dean, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor of the Central Academy of Fine Arts; Director of the Chinese Artists Association and Deputy Director of the Experimental Art Committee of the Chinese Artists Association. Graduated from the Printmaking Department of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts in 1992, began to participate in contemporary art activities, and served as the curator of the China Pavilion at the 54th Venice Biennale. The works have been collected by relevant institutions such as the Chinese Embassy in Germany, the Guggenheim Museum of Art in New York, the Contemporary Art Museum in Los Angeles, the David Smart Museum of Art at the University of Chicago, the Lawrence Foundation, the Embassy of the United States in China, the Art Museum of Minder University, the Art Museum of Stanford University, the Art Museum of Hong Kong, the National Art Museum of Scotland, the Shenzhen Academy of Art, the Contemporary Art Museum in Valencia, Spain, the Long March Foundation, the National Art Museum of Singapore, the Guangdong Museum of Art, the Ludwig Museum of Art in Germany, the New Berlin Art Center, the National Art Museum of Queensland, Australia, and the Dior Foundation in France.
