Guo Zhigang

Guo Zhigang, born in 1965, is a member of the 93 Society and a professor at the Cross Media Art Department of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts.
Published over 70 papers and over 800 works in national art authoritative and core journals. The painting works have been exhibited 10 times in important art museums in Beijing, Shanghai, Hubei, Xi'an, and France. The works have been exhibited multiple times in places such as the Florence Art Museum in Italy, the Rockefeller Art Center in New York, the Hamilton Museum in New Zealand, the Seoul Art Museum in South Korea, the Kyoto Art Museum in Japan, Taipei, Kaohsiung and Taoyuan Art Museums in Taiwan, and the Hong Kong Art Exhibition Center. The work has won national awards such as the "Luyi Cup" award at seven national higher art institutions, the "Plateau, Plateau" gold and silver bronze award at eight China Western Art Annual Exhibitions, the "Shaanxi Art Creation Award", and the 13th National Art Exhibition Experimental Art Exhibition and Mural Exhibition.
Published academic works include "When is Art", "Bone Disease", "Soul Returns", and "Insomnia Book".
Research direction: Exploring the thinking and innovative path of painting in the new context of aesthetic spirit in the contemporary growth of Eastern roots.
